（中央社倫敦22日綜合外電報導）美國研究人員最近創造一群長兩毫米的強大螞蟻機器人，使用中央電腦控制每隻螞蟻，讓機器人快速移動，甚至建造微小物品。

英國「每日郵報」（Daily Mail）報導，就體型而言，這群「機器螞蟻」雄兵速度極快，每秒可移動約35公分。

根據美國電機及電子工程師協會（IEEE）的報告，這樣的速度等同於「人類以略低於1馬赫的速度跑步」，也就是略低於音速。

這些螞蟻稱為「磁性驅動微型機器人」（Magnetically Actuated Micro-Robots），是設計供在微小規模，像是人工巢狀結構或電路，打造微小物品。

「紐約時報」報導，這些螞蟻機器人也很敏捷，能進出微小物體、在牆面爬上爬下，甚至能在可彎曲電路朝任何方向移動。(中央社)
