根據主計總處資料，去年全國受僱的上班族中，有七成的人月薪不到四萬元，也因為「薪」情不佳，讓高達八成的上班族尚未存到「人生的第一個100萬元」。

1111人力銀行針對1127位上班族的「第一桶金存錢調查」，樣本中30歲以下上班族占54％，30歲以上占42％。這群上班族中，高達80.86％的受訪者尚未存到人生的第一個100萬，僅有19.14％的人達到第一桶金目標，其中還有近5％是「靠爸靠媽」族。

尚未擁有第一桶金的受訪上班族認為，以現在的薪資水準，平均要工作11.12年才有機會存到100萬元，還有17％上班族悲觀表示「永遠不會存到」。
