土耳其政府封鎖推特，列出16項理由，其中一項理由擺明就是針對總理厄爾多根疑似貪汙錄音片段被放上推特，引發民眾質疑總理濫用職權。

「Twitter has become a way for gangs to post illegally obtained montages and voice recordings of a person, which leads way to character assassination.」。

「推特已成為大家張貼非法取得的片段和錄音檔的平台，這些非法檔案很可能引發暗殺」。
