幾內亞爆伊波拉病毒 至少59染病死

西非國家幾內亞政府今天證實，肆虐南部森林地區的高度傳染疾病是伊波拉（Ebola）病毒引發的，目前死亡人數增至59人，通報病例共80例。

幾內亞衛生部表示，幾內亞專家一直無法查明這波疫情的罪魁禍首，此神秘傳染病的症狀包括下痢、嘔吐和出血，於6週前首次觀察到，但在法國里昂市（Lyon）分析檢體的科學家確認就是伊波拉病毒。

幾內亞衛生部首席防疫官凱塔（Sakoba Keita）表示，肆虐幾內亞南部的伊波拉病毒出血熱疫情，當地官員證實，自2月9日以來已造成至少59人喪生，通報病例共80例。

根據世界衛生組織（WHO），目前尚無治療法或疫苗可供對抗伊波拉病毒，感染者的致死率介於25%到90%間，視病毒株而定。
