坦言失敗 火箭：讓球迷失望

休士頓火箭隊的賽季在季後賽首輪遭到淘汰後結束，不少的檢討聲浪也在近日響起，對此，火箭隊總管莫雷(Daryl Morey)也在8日恢復與球迷的推特互動時坦言，自己的確是讓火箭球迷失望了，並強調球隊未來需在防守端繼續下苦功。

「雖然說我們歷經了一場戲劇性的比賽，這句話聽起來很蠢，但這無法改變我們的傷痛，我覺得我讓火箭球迷失望了！」本季火箭總管莫雷一手打造球隊的全新陣容，還一度被認為有機會在西區出線，沒想到球隊卻是連續兩年在首輪鎩羽而歸。

莫雷坦言，火箭本季的挫敗顯露出球隊還有需要改進的地方，尤其是在防守端，「我們需要聯盟前10名的防守能力，來搭配上原有的進攻主宰力。」

相較於火箭本季的挫敗已經無法改變，不少球迷在問答過程中，更關心的是火箭季後補強的事宜，對此，莫雷也回應道，「我們有彈性的薪資空間、中產特例，甚至是選秀權，所以我們將能提供球員頂級的合約來進行補強。」

莫雷接著說道，「我們跟其他打季後賽的球隊相比，還是一支年輕的球隊，所以明年在累積了更多經驗後，我們將會變得更好。」

此外，莫雷也不忘拿2011年奪冠的小牛隊來當作例子，「那支2011年奪下冠軍的隊伍，在前一年也是以4比2遭到淘汰，所以我認為，只要我們更努力，明年回來時我們將會變得更強大。」
