古巴來的Jose Abreu，敲出本季第12號全壘打，領先大聯盟。他所屬的白襪隊，靠著9局上Dayan Viciedo的逆轉3分砲，以4比3擊敗印地安人。

Abreu本季對戰印地安人，擊出5支安打，裡面有4發紅不讓，威力驚人。這一戰他在第一局就開砲，白襪先馳得點。

不過印地安人替補捕手George Kottaras，三局下也敲出全壘打，兩隊平手。隨後Lonnie Chisenhall敲出帶有打點安打，印地安人2比1領先。

4局下Kottaras再度開轟，本季轉到印地安人後，前兩打席都是紅不讓，隊史第一人。3比1，印地安人領先兩分。

印地安人這一戰還寫下另一項隊史紀錄：先發投手Corey Kluber投出連續7次三振，比舊紀錄多一次。此役Kluber投8局，被敲3支安打，送出生涯最佳13K，失1分，帶著勝投資格退場，卻被守護神John Axford搞砸。
